Glover and Lyons Prevail After Late Charge at Brands Hatch
Neil Glover and Michael Lyons fought back after the pit stops to secure victory in Masters Endurance Legends 2 at Brands Hatch, taking their Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 to the top of the combined classification after 23 laps. The pair crossed the line 7.007 seconds ahead of the faster Lola B12 of Kenny Murray and Phil Quaife, which competed in the separate Masters Endurance Legends 1 category.
The Lamborghini spent much of the race chasing the leading Lola before moving to the front in the closing stages after the second Safety Car period. Glover and Lyons then controlled the final green-flag laps to secure victory and fastest GT3 lap honours with a 1m27.283s effort.
Max Brown brought his McLaren MP4-12C GT3 home second in class and third overall after running near the front throughout, while James and Bill Caley completed the Masters Endurance Legends 2 podium with their Porsche 991.2 Cup. The Caleys narrowly held off fellow Porsche runner Jonathan Simmonds, who finished less than three seconds behind at the flag.
Ash Muldoon completed the top five in class, while the Ligier LMP3 of Andy Perry and Ben Clucas looked capable of challenging for victory before retiring after 12 laps, triggering the race’s second Safety Car intervention.

Glover and Lyons Complete Brands Hatch Double
Neil Glover and Michael Lyons completed a perfect weekend at Brands Hatch by securing their second Masters Endurance Legends 2 victory in as many races aboard the Lamborghini Gallardo GT3.
The race began with an early Safety Car intervention shortly after the start, briefly neutralising the field before green-flag running resumed. Once the race settled, Glover and Lyons established themselves among the frontrunners, although Max Brown’s McLaren MP4-12C GT3 moved into the lead during the opening stint and controlled the pace before the mandatory pit stops.
The decisive moment came during the pit-stop sequence, where the Lamborghini crew regained the advantage. With Lyons at the wheel for the second half of the race, the pair steadily extended their lead and controlled proceedings to the chequered flag, winning by more than 44 seconds after 26 laps.
Max Brown secured second place after an impressive drive in the McLaren, having led much of the opening half of the contest. James and Bill Caley completed the podium in their Porsche 991.2 Cup after another consistent performance, while Ash Muldoon and Jonathan Simmonds rounded out a closely contested battle among the Porsche runners.
A late black-and-white flag for track limits did little to disrupt Glover and Lyons’ charge, and the pair also recorded the fastest lap of the race with a 1m26.845s effort. The victory completed a dominant double-header for the Lamborghini crew, who remained unbeaten throughout the Brands Hatch weekend.
