Race 1

Ferrer-Aza and Muller dominate opening Endurance Legends race

Matteo Ferrer-Aza and Alexander Muller delivered a commanding performance to claim victory in the opening Masters Endurance Legends 1 & 2 race at the Monza Revival. The Holthoff Car Performance Dallara Corvette C7.R Daytona controlled proceedings from pole position to the chequered flag, finishing over a minute clear of Karl Pedraza and Thomas Laurent’s Ligier JSP320, while Witt Gamski and Ross Wylie completed the overall podium after an impressive drive in their Bentley Continental GT3.

The 40-minute contest featured an early Safety Car interruption following the retirement of Ash Muldoon and James Kellett’s Porsche 991.2 Cup after contact with the Renault RS01 of Papin and Marchaux, before strategy and outright pace separated the field during the second half of the race. Class victories went to Ferrer-Aza and Muller in G3/P2, Pedraza and Laurent in G4/P3, Gamski and Wylie in G3/GT3, Stephan and Matthias Jocher in G2/GT3, while Ingo Strolz’s Lamborghini Gallardo was the sole G1/GT3 class entry but retired before the finish with an engine issue.

Starting from pole after Ferrer-Aza’s stunning qualifying performance, the Dallara Corvette immediately asserted itself at the front of the field. Pedraza’s Ligier settled into second, while the battle behind involved the Bentleys of MJC Racing and M-Sport, Thomas Ambiel’s Duqueine D-08 and the Renault RS01 of Philippe Papin.

Ferrer-Aza steadily increased his advantage during the opening laps, repeatedly lowering the fastest lap as the Holthoff Car Performance entry proved untouchable. His sequence of improvements culminated in a series of laps below 1:45 before handing over to Alexander Muller during the mandatory pit stop. Muller then lowered the benchmark even further with the race’s fastest lap of 1:43.982, demonstrating that the winning car had retained its remarkable pace throughout both stints.

Behind the runaway leaders, the fight for the remaining podium places evolved throughout the race. Pedraza and Laurent remained firmly in contention to secure second overall and victory in the G4/P3 category, while Gamski and Wylie produced one of the strongest performances of the afternoon by guiding their Bentley Continental GT3 to third overall and the G3/GT3 class win. Thomas Ambiel remained close throughout and eventually finished just over one second behind the Bentley after a consistent run in the Duqueine prototype.

The G2/GT3 class developed into an all-M-Sport contest. Stephan and Matthias Jocher gradually edged away from team-mates Alexander Lienau and Greg Caton to secure class honours by just over half a minute, while Kari Makela completed the class podium after running consistently throughout the race.

Further back, Philippe Papin and Roland Marchix recovered to finish second in G3/GT3 despite ending three laps behind the class-winning Bentley.

Ferrer-Aza and Mullersecured a comfortable victory after leading virtually throughout the entire 40-minute encounter.

Race 2

Ferrer-Aza and Muller remain unbeaten at Monza

Matteo Ferrer-Aza and Alexander Muller completed a flawless Masters Endurance Legends 1 & 2 weekend at the Monza Revival, securing a second consecutive victory after another dominant display in the first of 40-minute contests on Sunday. The Holthoff Car Performance Dallara Corvette C7.R Daytona led from pole position to the chequered flag, finishing 1 minute 25 seconds ahead of Karl Pedraza and Thomas Laurent’s Ligier JSP320, while Thomas Ambiel completed the overall podium after a strong drive in his Duqueine D-08.

Unlike Saturday’s interrupted race, Race 2 ran almost entirely under green flag conditions, with strategy and outright pace deciding the outcome. Ferrer-Aza and Muller also secured the G3/P2 class victory, while Pedraza and Laurent won G4/P3 despite receiving a late drive-through penalty, Stephan and Matthias Jocher claimed G2/GT3 honours, Witt Gamski and Ross Wylie topped G3/GT3, and Ash Muldoon and James Kellett took victory in G3/CUP. The Garagisti Lamborghini of Ingo Strolz did not start the race.

Having started from pole position, Ferrer-Aza wasted no time asserting control over the race. The Dallara Corvette immediately established itself at the head of the field ahead of the Ligier of Pedraza and Laurent, while Ambiel slotted into third after moving ahead of the GT machinery during the opening laps. Behind them, the Bentleys of MJC Racing and M-Sport enjoyed another closely fought contest throughout the afternoon.

Once clear at the front, Ferrer-Aza steadily increased the advantage while repeatedly improving the fastest lap. The Italian lowered the benchmark five times during his stint, eventually recording a 1:42.923 before handing the car over to Alexander Muller. Muller then completed the job in emphatic fashion by producing the fastest lap of the race on lap 22 with a stunning 1:42.704 at an average speed of 203.1 km/h.

Behind the dominant winners, Pedraza and Laurent enjoyed another strong race in the Ligier JSP320, maintaining second position throughout much of the afternoon. Ambiel briefly inherited second place during the pit-stop sequence before the TFT Racing Ligier reclaimed the position after the mandatory stops. Although Car 74 was handed a drive-through penalty for an unsafe rejoin at Turn 4, the crew had built enough of a margin to retain second overall and secure another G4/P3 class victory.

Ambiel’s consistent drive earned him third overall after spending much of the race battling the GT contenders. The German comfortably secured second place in the G4/P3 class, while the fight for fourth overall went the way of Stephan and Matthias Jocher, whose Bentley Continental GT3 claimed another G2/GT3 class victory ahead of M-Sport team-mates Alexander Lienau and Greg Caton.

The battle for G3/GT3 honours again featured MJC Racing against Krafft Racing. Witt Gamski and Ross Wylie delivered another composed performance to guide their Bentley Continental GT3 to fifth overall and a second class victory of the weekend, finishing comfortably ahead of Philippe Papin and Roland Marchix’s Renault RS01.

Ash Muldoon and James Kellett enjoyed a far stronger outing than on Saturday after their early retirement in Race 1. The Porsche 991.2 Cup completed 22 laps to finish sixth overall while comfortably winning the G3/CUP category, giving AM Speed Racing a deserved result after the disappointment of the opening race.

At the front, however, there was simply no answer to the pace of Ferrer-Aza and Muller. Leading every lap from pole position and setting the fastest lap, the Holthoff Car Performance pairing completed a perfect Monza weekend with back-to-back victories, confirming themselves as the benchmark combination in Masters Endurance Legends 1 & 2.

Race 3

Pedraza and Laurent finish Monza on a high with commanding Race 3 victory

Karl Pedraza and Thomas Laurent ended the Monza Revival in style by converting pole position into a commanding victory in the third and final Masters Endurance Legends 1 & 2 race. The TFT Racing Ligier JSP320 led from lights to flag, finishing over a minute clear of Thomas Ambiel’s Duqueine D-08, while Stephan and Matthias Jocher completed the overall podium after another consistent drive in their Bentley Continental GT3. The MEL1 Ferrer-Aza / Muller Dallara Corvette skipped the last of the three scheduled races due to a gearbox issue that required investigation.

After missing out on victory in the opening two races behind the Corvette, Pedraza and Laurent finally delivered a flawless performance to secure the overall win and the G4/P3 class honours. Behind them, Ambiel completed a G4/P3 one-two, while the Jochers claimed another G2/GT3 victory. Witt Gamski and Ross Wylie once again prevailed in G3/GT3, and Ash Muldoon and James Kellett secured a second consecutive G3/CUP class win.

Starting from pole after Pedraza’s impressive qualifying lap of 1:43.820, the TFT Racing Ligier made a clean getaway and immediately established itself at the head of the field. Ambiel slotted into second in the Duqueine D-08, while the Bentley Continental GT3 of Stephan Jocher settled into third ahead of Gamski and Wylie’s Bentley. Further back, the Porsche Cup car of Muldoon and Kellett and the Renault RS01 of Philippe Papin battled for fifth position during the opening laps.

Unlike the earlier races of the weekend, the final encounter ran without interruption, allowing the leading crews to build their rhythm throughout the full 40 minutes. Pedraza gradually stretched his advantage during the opening stint before handing over to Thomas Laurent, who continued to increase the gap over the chasing Duqueine. The Frenchman underlined the Ligier’s pace by setting the fastest lap of the race on the final lap with a 1:43.317, edging Pedraza’s own pole time.

Ambiel remained comfortably in second throughout much of the race. Although unable to match the pace of the leading Ligier, the German drove a measured race to secure another podium finish and second place in the G4/P3 category, finishing just over a minute behind the winners but well clear of the GT runners.

The battle for third overall belonged to the GT machinery. Stephan and Matthias Jocher once again produced a faultless performance in the Bentley Continental GT3 to finish third overall and complete another clean sweep of the G2/GT3 class. Team-mates Alexander Lienau and Greg Caton endured a more difficult afternoon, eventually finishing seventh after losing several laps.

Behind the Jochers, Witt Gamski and Ross Wylie secured fourth overall and another G3/GT3 class victory after another consistent drive in the Bentley Continental GT3. Philippe Papin and Roland Marchix completed the class podium in sixth overall aboard the Renault RS01, while Muldoon and Kellett brought their Porsche 991.2 Cup home fifth overall to comfortably claim the G3/CUP honours.

By leading every lap from pole position and setting the fastest lap on the final tour, the TFT Racing pairing of Pedraza and Laurent signed off the weekend with a thoroughly deserved overall victory.
