Vercoutere and Kelleners Dominate Paul Ricard in Porsche 962C
Ivan Vercoutere and Ralf Kelleners powered their Porsche 962C to a commanding victory in the opening Masters Group C race at Paul Ricard, leading 19 laps to secure a comfortable win in the 40-minute contest. The Swiss-German pairing controlled the race from the front and finished a lap clear of Xavier Micheron’s Nissan R90CP.
Behind the winning Porsche, Micheron secured second after a consistent drive, while Jann Mardenborough completed the podium and claimed Gordon Spice class honours in the Spice SE89C. Jeremy Loisel and Stéphane de Groodt rounded out the top five after an entertaining battle among the Spice machinery.
Andy Soucek showed strong pace throughout the race and briefly moved to the front during the pitstop phase, but penalties for a missed pitstop dropped the Spice SE90 down the order by the finish.
Further back, Jordan Grogor guided the Rondeau M382 to victory in the Jacky Ickx class, while Marco Biancini retired early after only four laps in the Argo JM19C.
